Veterinary Surgeon- Norwich

We are seeking a full time motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join us in a varied role supporting four practices in our Norwich region, including our new 24 hour Hospital.
This role provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads with state-of-the-art technology; you will work a mix of sole charge and in multi-vet practices alongside other experienced vets and certificate holders in the region.
The ideal candidate will have at least six months' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to their patients, as well as a first-class service to their clients. We offer excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate, with advancement in skills and specialism actively encouraged.
We have an excellent support structure in place and we take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice whenever you need it.
This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience working with successful branches and a specialist hospital team.
The role is working 4 days per week plus either 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 Saturday & Sundays. Please note part time and flexible working requirements will also be considered.
Salary & Benefits:
Full time package up to £61,529 dependent on experience, to include:
- Competitive salary
- Accommodation allowance £6,600 per annum
- Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
- £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave and in-house CPD training
- VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid
We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Skills and experience:
You must be comfortable and confident with all routine procedures and have the ability to work-up cases with standard diagnostics - blood testing, x-rays and possibly basic ultrasound.

The countryside is on our doorstep and we are a stone’s throw away from the Norfolk Broads and the Norfolk Coastline, giving you the perfect opportunity to explore.
Medivet Catton, Hellesdon and Thorpe St Andrew are well-established, thriving practices all within 15 minutes of each other. The branches have a loyal friendly client base and see a varied caseload.
Medivet Horsford is our new 24 hour hospital set in a spacious practice that comes fully equipped with separate dog, cat & exotics wards, endoscopy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and holds a cat friendly status. Along with our expertise in all furry creatures, we have a special interest in the treatment of exotic pets, making us the best local all-rounder to support your pet’s health. Our specialist equipment enables us to provide a high standard of care for all our patients, including smaller ultrasound probes, endoscopy systems, a dedicated exotics ward and special dentistry equipment and instruments for smaller patients.
