Veterinary Surgeon required at Whorral Bank Veterinary Hospital, Morpeth, Northumberland

The Role

We are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team! The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at our main hospital as well as at one of our 7 branch practices. The workload is varied with both consulting and surgical roles possible. The rota involves 1 in 6 Saturdays and 1 in 6 Sat/ Sun shifts. There are no OOH require-ments.  Our clinical team is extremely supportive, and we aim to offer our clients an excellent service. We encourage case continuity whilst provi-ding an excellent atmosphere to develop your own interests.

About Us

Our award-winning, purpose-built hospital is located on the outskirts of Morpeth and easily accessible with onsite parking. We have branches located across south-east Northumberland. The main hospital has radio-graphy/endoscopy, ultrasonography, dental, laboratory and hydro-therapy suites. We have 4 modern surgical theatres and 6 consulting rooms. Our vets have a wide range of experience and interests and include several certificate holders. We are a nurse training practice and encourage our nurses to continue their education post qualification. We provide our own out of hours service to give our clients an excellent and complete on-site service.

Applicant Requirements

It is essential that the applicant has experience working in small animal practice, but support and CPD are actively encouraged to those wanting to progress their career. You must be an enthusiastic team player who enjoys first opinion practice. We are happy to consider a part time role for the right candidate. Further study including certificates are encouraged and supported.
