Veterinary Surgeon required at White Cross Vets, Balby, Doncaster, 
South Yorkshire

The Role

Balby is a relatively new addition to the White Cross family, joining
the group in 2019. We are a team of 14 (5 CCC's, 4 RVN's 2 SVN's and
3 Vets). We are looking for a new vet to join our fantastic vibrant and growing team.

About Us

We have separate surgical and dental suites, each with theatre lighting. Our dental suite has x-ray on the way! Our theatre is spacious and bright, benefitting from a large window providing natural light, we have a state of the art multi-parameter monitor, suction, mono and bipolar cautery and orthopedic kits. Our imagining suite houses a new top of the range Ultrasound Scanner and digital x-ray. We have separate dog and cat wards, 4 consulting rooms and an in-house laboratory providing a large range of diagnostic possibilities.

We have the benefit of a separate outbuilding for staff to relax in with comfortable sofas to put up your feet and really unwind on your breaks, with office space available for quiet study or telephone calls.

The team is full of energy and enthusiasm, you probably won't have worked anywhere with so much laughter before! We all work hard but have good fun while doing it. We have monthly team meetings, vet meetings, nurse meetings and CCC meetings. We like to hold in house CPD as much as we can and get speakers into the practice to give us updates on new products etc.

The team have varied backgrounds and interests; we have team members from Australia, Greece and even as far as the South West of England. Interests range from DIY, to baking, horror films to crystals, magic to rock climbing, you really never know what the topic of the day is going to be!

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated veterinary surgeon who can thrive in our high-quality practice. Confident and professional, you will be able to work with sole charge. You will relate to our core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside our friendly practice teams as you work with team to provide a quality experience for pet owner and pets alike.

  • Experience in a Small Animal practice
  • RCVS registered
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service
  • Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
