The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Oakham Veterinary Hospital. With the clinical freedom to follow and work up cases to a high standard, and be involved in deli-vering a first-class surgical service, our vets experience a wide and varied caseload

About Us

We are a long-established, well-respected practice on the outskirts of Oakham, Rutland. Our purpose-built premises are set in 8.5 acres surrounded by beautiful, rural countryside. We have extensive hospital facilities and diagnostic imaging equipment, including CT and MRI. We are progressive and provide exceptional client care with an emphasis on case continuity.

A team of 9 vets, including certificate holders in cardiology, surgery, medicine and dentistry, ensure that, through their clinical skills and knowledge, we continue to provide excellent veterinary care across a wide range of cases.

In addition to being supported by a skilled and motivated nursing
team, our vets are able to work alongside leading surgical and clinical specialists through our teaching & clinical association with the University of Nottingham Vet School.

Our vets are team players, enthusiastic and effective communicators, committed to providing gold-standard veterinary care

Candidate Requirements

3 years + post-qualification experience, preferably gained within a fast-paced environment. An interest in surgery would be advantageous.

A team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of client care. Excellent clinical, diag-nostic and medical management skills. Enthusiastic and motivated to add to our reputation.
