Our team is looking to grow and with one vet leaving clinical practice we’re looking for two new team members – part time, full time or just
out of hours cover are all options! We value our staff and believe that the best care is given by vets that are happy in their work, so package can be tailored to suit individual’s needs.  

100% equine practice in friendly, ambulatory, independent practice.
Join a supportive team environment with two certificate holders pro-viding high quality care to patients, whilst ensuring an excellent work/-life balance. Ambulatory, with stocks, hard trot up and ménage at local livery yard when required. Caseload is mainly pleasure horses and sport horses, with some FEI riders as well as over 115 donkeys at the IOW Donkey Sanctuary. Current team are 3 certificate holders.

Positions require vets with at least 2 year’s experience in clinical practice in the UK and would suit those looking to work towards a certificate or a parent looking for a job that allows professional satisfaction as well as time at home with the family.

The practice continues to invest in both staff and equipment with a generous CPD allowance and modern equipment including digital ultrasound, fully battery powered DR x-ray system, endoscope, modern dental tools etc.

The island measures 23 miles by 12 miles meaning short journeys between calls and out of hours leaving time to take advantage of the amazing outdoor pursuits the island has to offer riding, sailing, wind-surfing, cycling…. Over half the island is an area of outstanding natural beauty and it’s only 2 hours form London.

Originally the practice was a branch of The Liphook Equine Hospital but became independent in 2012. We retain close ties with Liphook and their European specialists visit regularly for referral opinions or surgeries allowing  you to stay involved in referral work ups.

• £1500 CPD allowance, plus in house CPD and further study towards a certificate supported and encouraged.
• 2,3, 4 or 4.5 day working week with additional day off after a weekend on call.
• 23 days holiday per annum (if full time) plus bank holidays.
• Comprehensive private medical plan, Company van, i-phone, surface-pro laptop and uniform provided.

• 8.30am start, 5.30pm finish – yes that really happens!!
• Performance related bonus plus bonus for every OOH call.
• Quiet OOH covering small geographical area.
