Due to the movement of one of our lovely nurses into a non-clinical
role, we are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to become our Deputy Head Nurse and assist our Head Nurse in the smooth running of our nursing and hospital team. We are a large practice with eight satellite branches. We have high level of inpatient care and Vets Now on site to cover our out of hours and bank holidays. We have a great friendly team, and really interesting case load, with multiple vets and nurses with certi-ficates. Further training in areas of interest is always supported.

Responsibilities of this role include lab manager and work experience placement co-ordinator, as well and nursing duties to include inpatient care, theatre and nurse consults. The role is 40 hours a week over 4 or 5 days with 1 in 8 Saturday shift (8hrs) that are paid double time. No night or bank holiday are involved. Our great, enthusiastic clinical team consists of 8 vets, 6 nurses and 3 student nurses. We are located near the city centre of Bristol. Zetland is a very friendly, high standard first opinion team that fully works up medical cases and performs various surgery. The hospital is well equipped with laparoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, echocardiography and on site lab with biochemistry and haematology machines.

We are a friendly team, 8 vets, 6 nurses and 3 student nurses. Qualifications across the team include ISFM feline nursing, dog behaviour, Feline dental, Emergency and Critical Care, PGC in feline practice and surgery certificate.

We are looking for a friendly nurse who enjoys working as part of a
team and ideally has experience working to a high standard in veterinary nursing. We are a teaching hospital so ideally you will be a Clinical Coach and be confident with all aspects of nursing (surgery/Anaesthesia, inpa-tient care, nurse clinics, lab work) to help support our students. Previous management experience is ideal but not necessary as training can be provided on the job.
