Full Time Veterinary Surgeon
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. A part time candidate would also be considered. You will work alongside our friendly team of vets, nurses and receptionists, sharing in the consulting and operating rota. All vets have a good and equal amount of time in theatre weekly. The role consists of a 4 day working week and 1:5 - 1:6 participation in the OOH weekend rota, plus one night duty per week. Weekends on call are rewarded with a subsequent 3 day weekend.
We are a single site, RCVS accredited, small animal practice in the beautiful city Hereford. We endeavour to set the highest standards and keep up with the latest developments to give the best possible patient care and client experience.
We are a busy, friendly practice with a varied caseload. We work closely with our local Cats Protection Clinic allowing for exposure to shelter medicine as well as private clientele. We aim to keep the majority of surgeries in house and have a visiting orthopaedic specialist and specialist in diagnostic imaging that frequently attend the practice in order to help us provide an excellent service for our patients.
We are a very approachable and collaborative team that regularly work together on cases in order to achieve the best outcome for the case. We are supportive of CPD and further qualifications, as such we have vets currently undertaking certificates in Cardiology, Surgery and Oncology. We have all the usual equipment, including our own in-house Idexx biochemistry and haematology analysers along with standard diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, ultrasound and ECG.
We are part of a growing group of practices within IVC Evidensia with
a genuine focus on quality care for pets. We have a fantastic, forward thinking, supportive team of 6 vets, 10 RVN's and 10 support staff who regularly arrange social events outside of work. We work closely with our local Cats protection charity as well as holding sponsored dog walks and charity bake sales.
We are looking for a highly motivated veterinary surgeon who can thrive in our practice. The candidate must be confident and professional, with the ability to work alongside our practice team to provide a quality expe-rience for our clients and pets alike. You will need to be RCVS registered, have strong communication skills, have the ability to work well in a team and have a passion to deliver great clinical care and fantastic client service.
