Are you looking for a new and exciting role in clinical practice?

Are you seeking that opportunity that will finally offer you that elusive balance between a job and a life you love?

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you…

The Practice:

We are currently on the look-out for a veterinarian to join our team of dedicated poultry vets. Based in Norfolk, Crowshall Veterinary Services
is an independent vet practice and lab serving poultry clients across the East of England. The team currently consists of 11 vets and we are looking for an additional vet as we continue to grow.

Our vets hold a variety of clinical interests and further qualifications reflective of the diverse and interesting nature of the poultry industry.
We work closely with clients to support modern, data-driven, and efficient meat and egg production.

We pride ourselves on our evidence-based, practical and compassionate veterinary care which has won us a loyal and varied client base throughout the poultry and gamebird sector.

The Crowshall team are champions of sustainability and we have successfully achieved iiE Silver accreditation 2021, after our first year
of working with iiE. We are the first UK commercial poultry and gamebird practice and 100% farm animal practice to attain Silver accreditation. We are also mindful of the importance of mental health and well-being including three mental health first aiders as part of our team.

The Location:

The practice is based in Attleborough, an historic town in the heartlands of Norfolk, 10 miles from vibrant Norwich and within striking distance of the beautiful Norfolk coastline.

The Candidate:

We are seeking a vet with a couple of years’ experience, excellent communication skills and a desire to learn about the poultry industry and apply clinical decision making skills to large populations of livestock. We work closely with breeding companies involved in export and the right candidate will be willing to gain Es, Ex and Ax OV panels.

Support and training in all aspects of poultry practice will be provided. The right candidate, with the right approach to clients, an aptitude for population vetting and a desire to learn are more important to us than finding a poultry vet with  existing experience!

Vets with less than 2 years’ experience who are confident and motivated to continue to build on their existing clinical capabilities may also be considered. If this sounds like you then keep reading…

The Role:

  • Independent practice
  • 11 Vet team
  •  5 days per week, flexible working also offered.
  • 1 in 4 weekends with time off in lieu
  • Expansive exposure to all aspects of the poultry industry from breeder farms through to hatcheries, egg or meat producing farms and processing plants.

The Package:

  • Salary dependent on experience
  • In-house and external CPD opportunities with regular clinical club and funded external CPD events. Opportunities to engage in certificates or other types of post-grad qualification.
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided
