Prep/Theatre technician PCA role
We have a new and exciting prep/theatre technician PCA role here at Lumbry Park!
This is a part time role working 20 hours per week on a rota basis.
The successful candidate will get to work in state of the art theatres and prep area, with Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and Specialist vets in anaesthesia, ECC, neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue, internal medicine, cardiology and ophthalmology. You will assist in preparing patients for theatre; clipping and surgical prep, running the theatre, setting up, preparing equipment and instruments ready for surgery and procedures. You will also be working with the labs and ultrasound teams. Training is provided by a friendly and supportive team of nurses, patient care assistants and specialists.
You will be passionate about providing a high standard of care and be keen to learn and ideally have previous experience working in a busy theatre environment either in the human or veterinary medicine industry. You will be required to work 1:4 weekends on wards with the inpatients and contributing to infection control in the wards.
