Our main small animal practice, Oakley Vets, is spacious, friendly and well equipped e.g. digital x-ray, dental x-ray and a great new ultrasound machine capable of Doppler echocardiography. We pride ourselves on giving exceptional service and gold standard veterinary care and therefore have lovely loyal clients. Situated in an affluent area we are fortunate to have many insured clients. We have a smaller branch practice, situated in a nearby quaint village with similarly equipped facilities and lovely clients.

Oakley has a 5.5 vet team who enjoy working closely together in a supportive manner, with experienced nursing, patient care assistants and reception colleagues. We need to grow our team with our growing practice so will have the time to support a new graduate. We can also offer fantastic CPD via our industry leading New Graduate Programme and a dedicated mentor. We also greatly encourage and support any interests in pursuing a certificate. Four of us are working towards or already achieved advanced practitioner certificates.
Two of us (vets) started our careers as new graduates at Oakley and we all agree it's a positive and supportive first step into practice. We work a 4 day week, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no Sundays. There is no OOH rota other than one bank holiday every 2 years, as back up for our dedicated OOH service. The ideal candidate must be prepared to work between branches as well as at Oakley however no branch is run sole charge with new graduates.
