Veterinary Surgeon - Hampstead
A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinic in Hampstead Garden Suburb, North West London.
Medivet Hampstead Garden Suburb is a 2.5 Vet team, growing to a 3 Vet team! We are seeking a strong all-rounder with at least 2-5 years' experience - an interest in Surgery would be a bonus!
The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator and a great team player. You will have enthusiasm for offering a great service to your clients, building on the clinics local reputation and playing a crucial part within the team to add to our continued success!
Salary and hours:
Hours are 30 per week across 3-days with 1:3 half weekends - it also has potential to increase to full-time if desired.
This role offers a salary of up to £45,720 per annum, depending on experience (£60k FTE) this includes housing and vehicle allowances plus £1,157 CPD allowance with CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees.
Skills and experience:
- Proficiency in all neutering and preferably all soft tissue surgery, handling all basic medical cases
- Excellent client communication and strong consultation skills
- Great team player!
- Interest in completing or completion of a certificate preferred, but not essential
Medivet Hampstead Garden Suburb is a large clinic with potential for further growth, growing from 2.5 to 3 vets. The clinic is complete with x-rays, full blood machines and ultrasound machine. It's also a short drive away from our Hendon 24-Hour Hospital where you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment including MRI and CT.
The practice is led by Branch Partners, Sarah and Jeremy. Jeremy has been with Hampstead Garden Suburb since qualifying, his passion is in medicine cases and regularly advises our surrounding clinic with complex medical cases.
Sarah has 8 years experience and a certificate in medicine and currently does much of the surgery in practice. We have our lovely Vet, Jean for part of the week.
Our fantastic nursing and support team is made up of our Head Nurse, two Student Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistant and two Client Care Assistants.
This is a fast paced working environment that would suit someone wanting to have the opportunity to develop their clinical skills with the opportunity to work up their cases to the highest level.
