A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our Mossley 24 hour practice as part of our dedicated night team. A client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills is a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard both medically and surgically whilst working sole charge.

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. You will be working within our well-equipped practice including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, laparoscope, video otoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser. Plans for CT machine on site in the future.

Salary and hours

Regarding hours we can offer either 7 nights on 14 nights off or 3 nights on 18 nights off.   

The salary and benefits package for this role is up to £50,0000 dependent on experience. 

A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress. RCVS, VDS and BVA membership paid. 5 weeks annual leave allowance (FTE) plus blank holidays included into working pattern.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Medivet Mossley 24 hr hospital practice is the main centre in the region providing 24 hour care for our surrounding clinics.

The clinic is well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, endoscopy, laparoscopy, video otoscope, in house blood machines, separate day and night teams for 24 hour care on site.
