Job Details

Exciting small animal opportunity in Stoke-on-Trent for a Vet to join an independent practice with a large purpose-built facility.

Excellent opportunity for a small animal vet to join a growing and forward-thinking independent 1st opinion practice in the Stoke-on-Trent area has arisen. Originally established in 2009 as a single Vet clinic, the practice has now grown to a team of over 32 members of staff, including 10 vets, 15+ RVNs and SVNs, a dedicated practice manager and team of receptionists. After continued growth, it wasn't long before they outgrew their original premises, so three years ago, they moved into a large purpose-built standalone site resembling a large hospital facility. With six functioning consult rooms (and more still to be moved into), spacious waiting areas, and well-equipped operating theatres, this really is an excellent working environment.

The successful applicant will have access to a range of modern and up-to-date equipment including surgical facilities with piped gases, specialist oxygen cage, multiparameter monitor, a new digital X-ray system, ECG, ultrasound, eye tonometry, in house lab and much more. They will also have the opportunity to pursue their own area of interest up to certificate level if they wish, with the support of experienced colleagues and a varied caseload.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in small animal veterinary work and enjoy working as part of a large team but with occasional sole charge work on weekends. In return for your commitment to providing the highest level of care to your patients, you will be offered a competitive salary, generous CPD allowance (including certificate study if you wish) and a fantastic work life balance. A full-time week is 38hrs split over a 4-day week, with no OOH and 1-in-5 Saturdays. Occasionally vets are required to check on inpatients on a Sunday, however this is rewarded with an extra full day off the following week.

If you are interested in this opportunity, simply apply below or contact us for more information.
