Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking to have access to state of the art diagnostic equipment within a first opinion setting?

Here at Medivet Clerkenwell we have a CT on site, state-of-the-art ultrasound and digital X-ray. This role would suit a vet with an interest in imaging or looking to complete a certificate in diagnostic imaging. However, there is both medical and surgical caseload availability.

The role:

Medivet Clerkenwell are seeking an experienced Vet to join them as a Lead Veterinary Surgeon!

Full and Part-Time applicants can be considered! 

The ideal candidate should be a motivated individual who possesses leadership qualities, excellent communication and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team. 

You will have access to vetCT which will equip you with specialist knowledge and support. You will also receive support from and will be working alongside Medivet Kensington, which is located near by. 

Salary and hours: 

This role works to a 4-day week, covering 39 hours. The shift pattern also including 1:3 Saturdays or alternatively 1:6 full weekends. 

You will have a fair share of bank holiday cover duties and minimal on-call (approx. 3 weeks of the year) if required, to support our dedicated night team at Kensington 24-Hour. 

A competitive package of up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance. 

Plus £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training. RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees paid. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. 

Further career development including certificate study is encouraged and supported and partnership opportunities are available for the right person.

Branch:

Medivet Clerkenwell is a beautiful, spacious clinic in the heart of London! It is excellently situated within 5-10 minutes walk from Farringdon, Barbican and Old Street Tube Stations. 

The successful candidate will be joining a two/three vet clinic supported by fully qualified RVN's. The team are a lovely supportive, friendly bunch who pride themselves in providing gold standard client and patient care with access to advanced imaging. 

The clinic also has all the usual toys with in-house lab and separate cat and dog wards plus CT on site, state of the art ultrasound and digital X-ray. Medivet Clerkenwell feeds into our 24-Hour Hospital in Kensington for all out of hour care, the region also has it's own ambulance service.
