We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our purpose-built practice which is situated in the residential area of Wisbech, close to the beautiful Norfolk border.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year's UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to their patients, as well as a first-class service to their clients. You must be a motivated vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.

Salary & Benefits:

Up to £61,469 per annum full time salary package depending on experience, to include:

-Basic salary up to £50,000 per annum

-£6,600 accommodation allowance per annum

-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

-4 day week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays

-No OHH

Please note part time and flexible working requirements will also be considered.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Skills and experience:

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS. All levels of experience will be considered but some sole charge work as part of a rota is to be expected. 

An interest in imaging, orthopaedic surgery or cardiology would be beneficial but not essential.  

Branch:

Medivet Wisbech has a friendly and experienced team run by Branch Partner Monica Rusu.

Monica joined Medivet Wisbech as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2017 and has since then become a Branch Partner at the practice in May 2020. She holds a special interest in dermatology and soft tissue surgery and takes pride in providing exceptional care to her clients and patients under her care. The team consists of a happy close-knit nursing team of three who are always willing to go the extra mile to provide exceptional care within the community.

This is a great opportunity to work in a busy practice alongside a very experienced and knowledgeable Branch Partner and supportive team. You will be involved in interesting caseloads with access to state-of-the-art technology such as digital x-ray, ECG, dental facilities and in-house laboratory.
