Mixed Vet

We’re a growing, independent, mixed practice and would like to expand our team of 11 vets.

Aberystwyth is a university town with a vibrant social scene and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastline. We have a very varied caseload dealing with all domesticated species and some zoo work. The workload is growing, allowing exposure in all sectors and opportunities to further one’s interests.

RCVS accredited for SA, farm and equine ambulatory work; and working on the RCVS mentorship scheme.

We are a VNTP and have a great team of nurses that support us.

We do our own OOH and there is always a second vet on call.

CPD is paid for and encouraged.The majority of the vets either have, or working towards, post-graduate qualifications.

We invest continuously in the practice, e.g, laparoscopy, new ultrasound scanner, dental radiography, more in-house lab equipment and a second operating theatre are additions within the last year.

Pay is competitive and will be commensurate with experience, we will consider part-time working as we understand that life is more than work.

Membership for BVA, VDS, RCVS and another society of your choice is paid for.

35 days annual leave.
