The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and loyal team in our Dearne Valley 24 hour Hospital. Our practice has a friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. Main areas of this position is to provide high quality care for the inpatients whilst maintaining the relationship with referring veterinary surgeons.
You will have a fantastic team around you for support.

What you'll bring to the team?
You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years+ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience.
This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a busy environment with the ability to make sound clinical judgement.

Salary & Benefits:

-Up to £45,000 salary package inclusive of benefits

-Accommodation allowance

-Vehicle or vehicle allowance

-CPD allowance with CPD leave

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays

-4 weeks paid sabbatical leave after 5 years service 

Skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.

You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates.

Branch:

Dearne Valley is a 24 hour purpose built facility with up to date digital x-ray, ultrasound and full body CT scanner and an in house laboratory.

The practice has 3 large consulting rooms, 2 theatres, large prep area, internal lab facilities and large learning and office spaces.
