Senior or Lead Veterinary Surgeon

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Veterinary Surgeon to help lead and mentor our 5-vet team. The role will involve daily consulting and operating principally at our Falkirk centre. We can offer flexibility in working patterns, so let us know your preferences. There will be a 1:4 Saturday morning requirement included, but no OOH or on call.

We are a 3 branch practice with 1 main centre and 2 branch surgeries. We have great in-house Lab equipment and offer endoscopy, laparos-copy, soft tissue surgery and ortho surgery. Each vet has special interests, these are encouraged and gives us an in-house referral option for various disciplines. There is opportunity to expand caseload or specialise in any area. With great access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as the beautiful Highlands, the Central Belt is an ideal location. If you are moving into the area, a relocation allowance of up to £5,000 is available.

You will be an experienced vet surgeon and competent in consultations, case work ups and general surgery. Your passion will lie in developing not only your own skills, but those of your colleagues too. Experience in mentoring would be an advantage. This is an ideal first step into management.
