Salary and hours

This role is part time ideally working 3 full days a week however other options would be considered for the right candidate. Weekends would be 1:3 Saturday's or 1:6 full weekends. This role would have approximately 2 weeks of on call a year on a fair basis and a share of bank holiday shifts.

Joining our national network of veterinary surgeons at Medivet, offers exceptional opportunities for career development while enjoying a very competitive salary package with accommodation and vehicle allowance. A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress with 3-days CPD leave and RCVS, VDS and BVA membership paid. 5 weeks annual leave allowance (pro rata), plus blank holidays.

Key accountabilities:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Branch:

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to Ian McConnell Vet practice in Mossley joining our Medivet family.

The clinic is equipped with in house blood machine for working up medical cases. Clients are used to going to the Mossley 24 hour site for anything surgical and the hospital can be used as an extension of the practice.
