About Us

We have two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne where we have developed a strong client base for well over 20 years. Both practices are well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, dental and in house blood testing equipment. We have good sized theatres and consult rooms for first opinion cases. We also work very closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if needed.

Our Spalding branch has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish and our Bourne branch is next on the list! Currently we are still working on a closed-door policy with clients only coming into the practice for end-of-life visits. This is being reviewed regularly with staff safety being of paramount importance.

Our friendly team work well together and comprises of 3 Vets, 5 experienced RVNs, 4 Nursing Assistants and 3 Receptionists. None of us could do our jobs properly without each other, we all fully support each other and aspire to provide the highest standards in client and animal care.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a RCVS Veterinary Surgeon, experienced and confident in all first opinion duties. Unfortunately, this role would not be suitable for a New Graduate as there is an element of sole charge with this position. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a team and listen to both your clients and your colleagues is essential. Providing an exceptional standard of animal care and excellent customer service should be in the forefront of your mind and something we all work towards at the practice. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced vets who can help to develop your skills and knowledge and as a team we can support you in your career at Alder.
