An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our 24-hour hospital in Enfield.

We are seeking a Vet who has a strong medicine bias to provide maternity cover for one of our hospital vets. This cover will be for a period of 6-9 months, possibly extending to 12 months. An ability to perform thorough abdominal ultrasound scans would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience. The role will involve consulting, looking after hospital in-patients, some routine surgery as well as taking part in the on-call rota - average 2 weeks on call for the duration of the contract.

This role works to a 4-day week rota with 1 in 6 full weekends. 

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary package dependent on experience, to include:

-Basic salary £35,000 - £55,000 depending on experience 

-£10,200 accommodation allowance per annum

-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Medivet Enfield is an established hospital led by Branch Partner Kelly.

It is excellently equipped with in-house lab, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, digital x-ray, dentistry facilities, radioiodine treatment, orthopaedic theatre and more.

This cat friendly clinic has a large team made up of five vets, two night vets, eight nurses and reception team.
