The role:

We are looking for a Night Vet to join our friendly and experienced team in Ashby, Scunthorpe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on working at gold standard in patient and client care.

This role has a flexible working approach and we can offer the following hours and salaries dependent on your experience:

Full time  - 7 nights on – 21 nights off

Competitive salary, plus:

Accommodation allowance £5,400

Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500

CPD allowance with CPD leave

VDS, RCVS and BVS fees paid

We also offer generous annual leave and fantastic career progression. 

All our practices share the same software, so you will have access to your patients’ history at all times; case continuity guaranteed! You will be working 7 nights on 21 nights off.

This role may suit an ECC Certificate holder or someone who is working towards this - full funding will be given. Medivet also offers outstanding career progression, including post-graduate study and partnership.

Skills and experience:

You must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.

Experience of working nights is desirable but not essential.

You must be confident working sole charge, with the ability to make sound clinical judgement.

Branch:

24 hour central large branch practice with 3 consult rooms, 1 double surgical theatre, dental suite, digital x-ray room, prep area, separated dog and cat isolation rooms.

Digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, inhouse blood machines.

Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinema, shopping parks and many other activities.

For those who enjoy country air and long walk, Scunthorpe is a stones throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.

To the East there is the popular seaside resort of Cleethorpes with many traditional seaside restaurants and activities, the boating lake, The Jungle Zoo and Cleethorpes Light Railway.
