Surgical Internship

We are looking to employ a surgical intern for a 1-year fixed-term position starting in July 2021.

The Surgical Intern will work within the surgical team alongside our five boarded ECVS Specialists. Responsibilities will include taking part in case management, surgical procedures, re-examination clinics, imaging rounds, seminars and journal clubs. There will be opportunities to partici-pate in clinical research and the expectation would be to present and submit a paper by the end of the internship. Candidates would be expected to take part in a weekend rota but will be fully supervised by a senior surgery clinician at all times. This post would be ideal preparation for applying for a surgical residency.

Candidates are expected to have good communication skills with excellent written and spoken English and should have completed a
1-year rotating internship.
