Role: Mixed Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Ruyton XI Towns/ Shawbury, Shropshire

Hours: Permanent, Full time, 4 or 5 out of 7 days, 1:3 weekends, OOHs 1 night per week

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience £35k+ per annum

VetFinders are happy to be recruiting for a wonderfully independent rural practice, with practices in two beautiful villages near Shrewsbury, the practice has been well established in Ruyton X1 Towns for almost 30 years and now has the opportunity to open a branch surgery in Shawbury which is due to open this summer, hence the reason for the recruitment of a 3rd vet to join our friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2 years plus qualified Vet, looking to join an expanding team, and ever-increasing case load. If you are a Mixed Vet looking for an independent practice with a supportive team, look no further!

The Role:

As a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures of general practice, roughly 70% small animal caseload, 30% large animal including some equine. Confident and competent in the role, some sole charge in OOH’s work.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis, hours worked over 4 (10 hrs shifts) or 5 days (8 hours), In addition an OOH rota including a 1:3 rota weekend rota and one night a week.

Development and progression - The practice is looking for the right applicant to join the team to deliver an excellent standard of patient care and client service.

This mixed practice has a number of Alpaca clients, therefore if you also have an interest in this animal, that is only an advantage.

It is a successful and established practice, in rural Shropshire, holding an excellent reputation. This family feel practice is very proud to be independent and their commitment to their quality in service still remains unchanged and unaltered everyday ever since the start. The practice is owner run, and they have built up a team of respected professionals within the local area.

The practice is committed to providing clients with the best possible, affordable healthcare for their beloved pets, whilst delivering an excellent service and experience, that is recognisable from others.  

The team consists currently of 2 Vets, 1 RVN, 2 VCAs and supportive receptionists; lots of experience to learn from and ask for advice.

The practice is looking for a team player.
