Farm Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced farm veterinary surgeon to join our dedicated farm team. You will provide veterinary services to our dairy, beef and sheep clients across the Aylesbury Vale, Chilterns and surrounding area.

A generous salary package is provided, commensurate with experience.

Hampden Veterinary Hospital has been established for over 80 years and includes a dedicated RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital and Equine Practice, as well as our highly respected busy Farm Practice now located at Glebe Farm in Leighton Buzzard

Aylesbury is situated on the edge of the Chilterns with excellent road and rail access to both city and rural pursuits.

Job Details:

• Salary – Up to 50K depending on experience
• Hours – Full time or part time
• CPD - is strongly encouraged. An allowance and time away from work is provided.
• Holiday - initially 28 days, increasing to 33 days pa.

The Ideal Vet:

You will be enthusiastic with excellent client care skills, be able to build strong trusting relationships with our farmers, and be able to articulate clear treatment and herd health advice, plus the options available. You need to be able to work well within our clinical and non-clinical teams.

You should also be able to take sole charge on call and be competent in areas such as pregnancy testing, caesareans, calving’s etc. TB testing qualified would be an advantage.
