Luke Knowles at Loughborough Vets4Pets is looking for a Senior Vet to join his friendly and successful team. The practice is based in South Loughborough and is easily accessed by the M1 and A6.

Luke’s standalone practice sees a wide range of medical and surgical cases and the team work closely with the client to find the most affordable yet effective treatment plan for each patient. The surgery
offers state of the art facilities including digital X-ray, digital endoscopes, ultrasound, in house lab and an array of surgical and orthopaedic equipment. The team run a 20 minute consult system as standard, allowing a real focus on clear communication and thorough client conversations. With this in mind, the successful candidate will enjoy and excel at building strong relationships with clients,
patients and the wider team.

You would be joining a supportive team of 5 Vets including Luke, the Practice Director, four RVNs, three Student Nurses, a Practice Manager, and a Client Care Team. The team hold a variety of interests and Luke has a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. The practice offers clinical freedom and the opportunity to work with a varied and loyal client base, working up cases to a high standard. By joining us, you will be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care within a friendly team. 

Person Specification

This position will suit a Veterinary Surgeon at least four to five years post qualified that wants to take the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who can lead our team of Veterinary Surgeons; with
excellent communication skills and a passion for building strong rela-tionships with patients and clients. As a surgery that has continued to grow, this new role is part of our plan to develop a leadership team across the Practice. Applicants will be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases;  supporting and leading the Vets on clinical decision making and their professional development, and mentoring and supporting our less experienced Vets. This role will also include respon-sibility for the application and review of clinical practice protocols. This person will also have some business acumen, whilst ensuring high
standards of veterinary, patient and customer care are maintained across the Practice.   

This role will be Full Time with weekends on a 1 in 4 rota basis and no OOH. There will be occasional sole charge.
