Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Hours: Permanent, 42.5 hours a week,

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience £35-47k per annum

VetFinders are recruiting for a progressive, expanding, small animal practice in Edinburgh, Scotland. This  proudly-independent practice is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, with immediate effect. It is a fantastic opportunity for a 2 years plus qualified Vet to join a growing team, with clinical freedom and a varied case load.

The Role:

As a small animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures of general practice.

The ideal candidate will  preferably have  2 years’ experience,  although consideration will be given to an outstanding candidate with less experience.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis at 42.5 hours per week, over 4.5 days. In addition, Saturday mornings and weekend on call shared 1 in 6  with the other Vets.  Out of hours support from an RVN.

CPD is encouraged and supported, with full clinical freedom  and the ability to follow your interests.  Case continuity allows you to build a great relationship with patients and clients. Development and progression of the team is important to the practice as it grows and evolves.

About the practice:

This RCVS accredited, successful and established practice, first opening its doors in 1930 as a mixed practice but now 100% small animal,  has an excellent reputation in the area and continues to grow and develop. The practice is still very proud to be independent and their commitment to quality of service remains unaltered from that of nearly 100 years ago.

The practice's aim is to provide the highest standards of care for its patients and their owners. They offer a friendly and professional service, at fair prices with a personal touch.

The team consists of 6 Vets, 6 RVNs, a wonderful team of receptionists and a practice manager. It has many years of experience to learn from and support is always freely available.

The  recently-renovated main practice has excellent facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound,  dedicated dental suite and comprehensive  Idexx -equipped laboratory. There is a small branch practice in  the nearby historic market town of Linlithgow.

The area has easy transport links, with Edinburgh Airport and the M8 and M9 motorways being just minutes away.
