Our mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means our employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

We provide ongoing support to our teams, both in practice and through our dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from our advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The role:

Due to a recent team expansion, we are looking for an additional enthusiastic and driven registered veterinary nurse to join our large team of vets, RVNs, SVNs and receptionists at our 24hr main centre in Beckenham. With support from our Head and deputy RVNs this role would be suitable for a nurse looking to build on their experience and skills within a busy hospital setting.

Medivet Beckenham adheres to the RCVS practice standard scheme and is recognised as a ISFM Cat friendly practice delivering gold standard veterinary care and service to our patients and clients 24/7. The successful candidate will strive to these high standards with the team in all areas of nursing to include but not limited to: Assisting with and conducting diagnostic imaging, sample collecting and testing as well as orthopaedic nursing and delivering intensive nursing care to our ECC patients. This role is predominantly clinical based with little reception and administration duties.

Skills and experience:

Essential: Drivers license and access to a car. To be registered as a veterinary nurse with the RCVS with at least 1 year post qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing and training our inexperienced team members starting on their veterinary nursing careers as well as our newly graduated veterinary surgeons.

Desirable: Experience of working in a veterinary hospital or large busy practice. Experience as a Clinical coach/supervisor for student veterinary nurses, though training and support in the role is provided.

Branch:

Beckehnam is one of our 24 h centres, is well equipped- benefiting from ultrasonography with echo capability, endoscopy, separate cat and dog wards and modern spacious surroundings.

24hr Beckenham has a 4/5 vet day team and a dedicated night team of vets and RVN’s.
