Experienced, Enthusiastic, Cat Crazy Veterinary Surgeon

Due to one of our vets heading back to sunnier climates, we require an experienced, enthusiastic, cat crazy Veterinary Surgeon. Confidence with sole charge is essential. This position is based on a 40 hour week to include a 1:3 Saturday morning and some sole charge work. The clinics out of hours are covered by Vets-Now. The full rota will be discussed at the interview. Duties will include consultations, routine surgery including dentistry and investigative workups.

The Cat Clinic is an RCVS and ISFM accredited, friendly, feline only clinic in Southsea, Portsmouth - ten minutes from the seafront. We run as a 2 vet clinic with 3 nurses, who are all RVN's. The team is complimented by very caring receptionists. Our facilities include; digital dental radio-graphy, ultrasound, ECG, in-house idexx biochemistry, haematology and electrolytes, doppler, tonometer, and k-laser. Located just a ten minute walk from the seafront, in & around Southsea, there are plenty of pubs, cafes & restaurants to keep you busy outside of work time, along with a local theatre. The fun doesn't stop there though, as there are plenty of other events to keep you busy such as music events, kayaking or sea swimming!

We're looking for a veterinary surgeon with experience. Experience with ultrasound & surgical dentistry would be ideal. A feline certificate holder or a desire to complete your feline certificate would be advantageous. You will be someone who is happy working as part of a team or by their own steam and someone who thrives in a busy environment and has a strong passion for cats.
