Veterinary Surgeon required at Moorview Vets - Newcastle-upon-Tyne

The Role

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Moorview Vets. If you are looking for a practice with a focus on clinical excellence, with plenty of experienced team members and freedom to work up your own cases, then we could be the one! Our full time hours are worked over just 4 days, although part-time applicants are also welcomed - let us know your preference.

There is some sole charge branch consulting and Saturdays to a maximum of 1 in 4. The role includes consulting, surgical and dental work, though this can be tailored towards clinical interests. There is no out of hours’ requirement, and bank holidays are equally shared with a day off in lieu. We are closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

About Us

We are a large, multi-site practice in the North East of England, close to the city of Newcastle. We benefit from a range of experience across the team, including multiple certificate holders. Our friendly and supportive team have a wide variety of interests and help is always at hand! We also encourage our vets to keep their own cases and build their own knowledge and skills, rather than referring.

We have a CT scanner and laparoscopy on site, and a dedicated dental theatre with dental x-ray. We have a fantastic working relationship with our local referral centre and aim to provide our patients and clients with a gold standard level of care.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills. All applicants will be considered, but the role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with some clinical experience. More recently qualified Vets will be given support to allow them to continue to develop their skills. Further study, including certificates are encouraged and funded.
