We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Director to join our friendly and supportive team. Your role will involve co-ordinating and leading all matters clinical and reporting into our leadership team (consisting of current PT Clinical Director, Head Nurse & Administration Manager). You will be responsible for achieving our KPI's in clinical and client satisfaction areas. You will liaise with referral specialists, peripa-tetic surgeons and Virtual Vet Specialists to retain as many cases as possible in-house. This is not a simple money orientated goal. It is our team's belief that we ALL learn by having specialists visit US and it is better for client and patient alike, achieving better outcomes for both and greater team satisfaction. Win:Win:Win.

The role of the current Clinical Director is to assist you in developing non-clinical skills in the areas of Leadership, Management & Business - resulting in you having a broader skill set than just clinical work. The position is full time (four days a week) with 1 Saturday (08:30-12:00) in 4. Salary range is £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.

We are a small 4FTE Vet small animal practice with a family ethos and feel. We are strong on client and patient care, but not to the detriment of a good working environment, as we believe that it's a happy team that leads to the best results in all areas (not the reciprocal). We encourage CPD and new learnings, as our team strive to continually improve. To this end, we run a Continuous Improvement system, through which every team member can make suggestions and submit ideas to improve what we do - from clinical matters to new signage, or changes in how we run our puppy pre-school, or painting the nurse clinic room a different colour. The only two cardinal sins at Cedarwood are saying "we've always done it this way" or "that'll never work". That said, we're not perfectionists. We know our limits and although we always aim to stretch these, we know when to call for help. If the pet is happy, so is the owner, and by extension, therefore, so are we!

Our four FTE vets, made up of full and part-time vets. We have 6 RVN's and an administration team of four - who take away all that dreadful paperwork that we all dislike so much! As previously stated, we are strong on TEAM and are keen to be seen as "human" and part of our local community. We have an ethos of helping each other and everyone is encouraged to align with our Mission & Vision, as developed by our team. We always recommend what's best for our patients and in each case, we ask ourselves, "What would I do if this was my pet?"

We are seeking a confident and experienced clinician who either already has leadership experience or is willing to learn and receive training in this area. You will be expected to lead and support your team clinically, but also pastorally, in conjunction with & supported by the others in our leadership team. You will be expected to be able to think on your feet and problem solve... but not necessarily alone. Nobody has a monopoly on good ideas! You will be expected to provide constructive input to improving what we do in all areas, but especially clinical veterinary work.
