Veterinary Surgeon required at Abbey Vet Centre, Chester le Street.

The Role

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our great team on a
full time basis. Working hours will include 4 x 9 hour days with 1:4 Saturdays. There are no OOH requirements, as we use Vets Now. Our
vets enjoy good rota flexibility and specific requests are accommodated wherever possible. Just let us know your preferences.

About Us

We are a 100% small animal two-branch practice with a team of 12 experienced Veterinary Surgeons and 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses. Three of our Veterinary Surgeons are enrolled into certificates. We have an excellent relationship with surrounding referral practices and a very positive reputation amongst local pet owners. We are proud to focus on quality, not quantity and believe it is important that staff get time to work up all cases. The majority of our staff have worked here for a long time and we have very low turn-over. They would be delighted to speak to you to share their experiences.

Applicant Requirements

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with some post qualification experience - it would be preferable if you can do basic ops like castrates, spays, dentals and uncomplicated mass removals yourself - of course help is available when needed but some independency is an advantage. Consults will have to be done independently but again; help is available. The most important thing we are looking for is motivation and a positive attitude!
