Job Details

Joining our professional, personable team in our Mountain Ash practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others. You will be responsible for your own operations and case work up through our Merthyr Tydfil branch.

Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in a sole-charge environment, enjoys clinical freedom and is comfortable with most surgery. We are seeking a Vet with at least 2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience.

Mountain Ash is a lovely small town close to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons. The branch has a friendly team and client base giving the practice a real family feel.

Cardiff City centre and Cardiff international airport are less than an hour’s drive away and accessible by train which is within walking distance of the practice.
