Due to one of our vets going off to start an internship, we are looking
for an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon to work between our hospital clinic and other branches. We have a lovely welcoming team across 8 sites in Bristol and Cheltenham, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Senior Vets, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade. We are corporate owned but like to think that we put the ‘I’ in IVC.

We offer a four day week, with a set day off. No night duties or bank holiday work as our Redland Hospital is the Host practice for the Vets Now Bristol Clinic. Salary in the region of £35,000-£50,000 depending
on experience and qualifications.

We have all the usual/expected equipment (including in house lab, modern ultrasound, digital x-ray and laparoscopy/endoscopy equip-ment).  Our central Hospital in Redland, Bristol, is close to Gloucester Road, a famous independent high street full of amazing treasures. You will have support from experienced (and lovely) colleagues with certifi-cates in Surgery, Cardiology, Feline medicine and Small Animal Medicine. We also have certificates ‘ln-Progress’ and a wealth of other experience and qualifications in other handy subjects such as Behaviour, Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.

The successful candidate will have at least four years of post-graduation experience including some experience in abdominal ultrasound and basic echocardiography. You will be organised, be a good communicator with both clients and colleagues and be able and willing to perform GP work including consultations and surgery. You will be able to use a logi-cal problemsolving approach to medical cases, be aware of and able to expound multiple treatment options and also be interested in mentoring and guiding other Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and support staff.

Benefits (pro rata):
