Full Time Veterinary Surgeon
We are looking for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. We all share the work with everyone having a chance to develop their skills whether surgical, lab work, clinical investigations, imaging or dental work as well as scheduled 15 minute consultations. There is plenty of time for admin, client phone calls, lab reporting and general case investigation and discussion each day. The role includes 1 in 4 weekends on call with 2 vets working Sat am, 1 day off each week and 1 night on call each week.
We are a progressive small animal practice (with the odd pet sheep or hen) on the edge of Taunton. We are within easy reach of the coast, or the Big Smoke of Bristol or Exeter. We can offer forward looking veterinary care with great facilities, in a calm professional environment where team support is paramount. You would join a team of 6 other vets, 5 VN with 2 trainees. Team work is very important to us with frequent case discussions, support and advice. We are a GP practice but with plenty of scope for developing specialist interests and advancing skills.
We are looking for a candidate wanting their next step in practice so ideally you will have some post graduate experience but we are also interested in experienced vets after a new challenge to help develop
and grow the practice. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people oriented person,
who is willing to support your colleagues.
