Would you like to join a friendly first opinion team in beautiful Dorset?
An opportunity has arisen to join our team of five equine vets who treat
a range of pleasure and competition horses with a small amount of stud work. We are a mainly ambulatory practice but have an equine clinic available to conduct diagnostic investigations or perform surgery (either with practice team or peripatetic specialist surgeons).
We have a good selection of digital equipment (DR radiography, ultrasound machines and endoscopy) and support from nurses to provide these services on yard or in clinic. A wide range of dental services from routine care through to more advanced procedures are offered with selection of equipment including Karl Stortz oroscope.
Our vets have wide clinical freedom to work up their own cases as appropriate but colleagues with special interests are available to assist. The equine team is part of a bigger mixed practice with separate small animal and farm teams. This provides a supportive ‘family’ structure to welcome newcomers.
We would very much welcome colleagues interested in a part time position apply. The rota is currently 1 in 5 and shared equally. A competitive package is available for the right candidate, including: CPD allowance, VDS cover, healthcare, RCVS membership, company car and a salary in excess of £40k (FTE) based on the level of experience.
Essentially, we are looking for a friendly ‘road’ vet who likes working with people and is a good team player. Career progression through CPD towards certification is encouraged and opportunities exist for candi-dates who wish to progress their career and work towards senior roles/directorship within the practice.
Please contact Julian to discuss the role in more depth via the apply button or 01258 452626.
