The role available as a Night Veterinary Surgeon within the Penmellyn team is being offered as either a waking or non-waking role. With the rota we have in place, there is plenty of time for our night vets to enjoy the lovely countryside and delights that Cornwall has to offer in their down time.

Penmellyn Vets have six practices throughout the centre of the county, with the central hospital at St Columb Major. Penmellyn is also home to Cornwall Veterinary Referrals, a specialist referral practice focussing on orthopaedics. We have superb facilities including an onsite Siemens Somatom Scope 16slice CT scanner.

We have 28 vets including a diplomat veterinary surgeon who heads up our referral service. Our team of vets range from new graduates to many years qualified so we offer a supportive network for all vets. We have 40 full time nurses spread across all surgeries.

Applications accepted from experienced Night Vets who are confident in the complexity and challenges of working within an out of hours environment.
