An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join our Emergency and Critical Care team at our Specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre. The position will ideally commence in July 2021. The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an American or European Diploma (or equivalent) and share our aim of providing excellent levels of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons. A Head of Service position will also be considered for a suitable candidate.

Willows’ Emergency and Critical Care team, comprising of two ECC Specialists and a dedicated nursing team, provides an outstanding level of care for patients with critical disorders in one of the best equipped Veterinary Intensive Care Units in the UK. Based in the Intensive Care Unit and fully supported by our Specialist multidisciplinary team, our ECC team provides exceptional expertise in critical care and treatment for every patient when they need it most. The team also see direct referrals of critical cases from across the region.

Our ECC team work together with our team of Specialists across 13 disciplines including Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Imaging, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Cardiology and Orthopaedics to provide the best possible care for each and every patient.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Clinical Director, our team of Anaesthesia Specialists, our Intern team, and dedicated ICU RVNs in managing Willows ECC service.

The position will be well remunerated with a fantastic package including six weeks holiday, plus two weeks allowance for funded CPD, and a week for approved committee or examining commitments.
