Professor (Grade 10) will be within the Professorial range and subject to negotiation

Senior Clinician (Grade 9) £52,560 - £59,135 per annum,

Clinician (Grade 7/8) £35,845 - £40,322/£44,045 - £51,034 per annum

Additional market supplement, generous OOH payment, and 21% employer pension contribution.

The Division of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking to recruit dynamic, motivated surgeons to join a friendly and supportive team of three other surgeons (two ECVS Diplomates) and three ECVS residents.

Professor. The role will involve leading high quality clinical research and research-led education in partnership with other divisions and institutes within the College; driving the strategic expansion of the Small Animal Hospital, and delivering a high quality surgical service to small animal referral patients. Preference will be given to a candidate with a soft tissue bias.

Senior Clinician/Clinician. The ideal candidate(s) will hold a Diploma
or equivalent qualification (Senior Clinician) but a residency-trained colleague due to sit exams will also be considered (Clinician).The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents. The post offers a significant element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship (including exam study).

The Small Animal Hospital is located adjacent to the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in the picturesque Garscube Estate, 10 minutes drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow, and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in the UK, and has recently been named the top cultural and creative centre in the UK in a European Commission report (https://composite-indicators.jrc.ec.europa.eu/cultural-creative-cities-monitor/).

Applications are invited from candidates with a veterinary degree registrable with the RCVS and a Postgraduate clinical qualification in small animal surgery (European, American or Australian) – DipECVS, DipACVS,  RCVS Diploma, FACVSc (Surgery).
