The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual as the next Dean of the School of Veterinary Science (SVS).

SVS is a world-leading education provider and research centre. Consistently positioned amongst the top in the world, SVS was the first veterinary school to be part of a University and is currently split between the main University site in Liverpool and a dedicated campus in Cheshire. The School’s core mission is to be a centre of regional, national and international excellence in animal health and welfare through research and learning.

The School sits within the Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences (IVES) and the incoming Dean will be a critical member of the IVES senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a successful track record as a leader in a research-intensive environment and will have a strong personal profile in education and research.  They will be collegiate and an excellent team-player, capable of contributing to cross-Institute decision-making.  They will have experience of financial and people management, and of supporting staff in their development. They must be MRCVS or eligible.
