Job Details

Our client has a RCVS accredited Tier 2 small animal practice and are looking to expand their 10 Vet team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate vet to join this supportive team at our clients growing practice in the Manchester area.

The veterinary team have a wide range of interests - currently they have 4 Certificate holders amongst the team and another 3 vets undertaking certificate study towards surgery, ECC and imaging. In addition they have a visiting orthopaedic surgeon twice monthly.

The team are based across 4 sites and have access to all the usual toys, including a digital X-ray, Dental X-ray, Ultrasound and Endoscopy.

The successful candidate will work a 40 hour / 4 day week with 1:8 weekends (Sat 9-5pm and Sun 9-3pm) plus 2:8 Saturdays (9-1pm). (The weekend rota will decrease to 1:10 full weekends and 2:10 Saturday mornings once fully staffed).

The team can offer support and clinical freedom together with a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases. The client is happy to hear from new graduate who are excellent communicator and are keen to develop their skills after graduation.

As well as a competitive salary the team can also offer 5 days paid CPD - budget £1500 per annum which is actively encouraged and funded, along with Certificates. 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, (rising to 30 days holiday plus bank holidays = dependent on length on service), pension contributions and health shield cover (after 3 months of service). Additionally RCVS and VDS fees are paid
