The role:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team.

Salary and hours: 

Joining our national network of veterinary surgeons at Medivet, offers exceptional opportunities for career development while enjoying a very competitive salary package.

This role offers a package of £47,569 per annum including £10,200 accommodation allowance, vehicle or £2500 allowance, £1500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership. 

We work to a 4-day week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends. 5 weeks annual holiday allowance plus bank holidays. 

You will also be included on our bank holiday rota and on-call rota which is fair share across all vets in the region. On-call is approx. 3 weeks of the year to support our wonderful night team at Watford 24-hr, should they require additional support. 

Skills and experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • 6-12 months UK small animal experience or equivalent 
  • Full UK drivers licence 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Happy to work sole charge

Branch:

As a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon you will play a crucial part in part within the Medivet family.

This role will see you working in different practice environments, allowing you to gain exposure to varied surgeries and learn from a diverse team of veterinary professionals.

Here, you will create a large connection of colleagues, working together and sharing knowledge to deliver outstanding service and care for our clients and patients.

The mobile team work in 'working groups' generally supporting 3-4 branches. These include; Wexham, Denham, Croxley Green, Stanmore, 24 Hour Watford, Carpenders Park, Pinner, Ickenham, Langley, North-Harrow and Bushey Heath. You must also have flexibility to support all clinics within the region for emergency cover/sickness etc.
