If you are an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a warm and friendly team then we may have the perfect role for you here at Oldham Vets4Pets!  

This role is full time 40 hours per week or if you are looking for a better work life balance we are happy to consider 2 part time vets. The full time position will include a weekend rota of 1 in 3 and the part time position would be made up of 2-3 weekdays and 1 in 4 weekends, both without OOHs. 

We are located on the Elk Mill Retail Park, close to the lovely Saddle-
worth moors and its villages, or if city life is more suitable to you then Manchester City centre is only 10 miles away. Our great location means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base, with a large number insured. Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built and equipment includes digital x-ray, lab, dental and multiparameter machines and ultrasound.

Person Specification

You will be joining our clinical team of 2 Vets, 4 RVNs and 4 Client Care Advisors. Partner Barbara Hambley graduated from Liverpool in 1999 and has been a Partner for a year now, bringing a wealth of experience whilst taking the practice from strength to strength. We have a wide range of knowledge and experience and we are able to support those wanting to expand their own learning, and bring and develop new ideas. 

You will be an experienced and proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid surgical and medical skills. Surgical preference and/or a certificate would be advantageous but not essential. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, we offer a generous CPD allowance and, for the right candidate, the opportunity to study for a certificate.
