Job Details

The Hospital

The hospital looks after patients from 5 branch surgeries and is the base for their OOH emergency service, which is run by a dedicated team of night vets. Diagnostic services include digital radiography, ultrasound (including separate cardiac probe and doppler), video-endoscopy (gastroscope, bronchoscope and small rigid endoscopes), multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, tonometry, etc. 

The role will be a mixture of shifts - 5 nights (7pm-8am), 6-8 twilights (4-11pm) and two day weekend shifts (Sat 12.30-7pm, Sun 8am-7pm) in a rolling 4 week rota. Over the weekend there are 3 vets on Saturday afternoons and 2 on Sundays so only sole charge on the weekends from 5pm and there is another vet 2nd on call from 5pm and overnight in case its very busy.

The Role
You will become part of an established ECC team of experienced vets performing routine surgery and consultations. To be considered for this role you will be RCVS registered

 AND 

At least 2 years’ experience in the UK however the practice is open to seeing candidates from many backgrounds.
