Surgery Information / Job Description

If you are an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a warm and friendly team then we would love to hear from you! This role is full or part time, 20-40 hours per week including a Saturday on a 1:4 rota basis and no OOHs. Recent graduates will be considered. 

We are located within 5 minute drive of the A19 and the beautiful North East coastline is easy to reach. Our great location means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base. You will be joining our clinical team of 2 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs & 5 receptionists as well as working with our sister practice team based in north Sunderland. Our team a wide range of knowledge and experience we are able to support those wanting to expand their own learning and develop skills. 

Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and we see a mix of consults, medical cases and surgical cases. 

Our JVPs, Rachel Smith RVN & Claire Beckham RVN, have both been in Vets4Pets for over 10 years and have taken Sunderland South Vets4Pets from strength to strength.

Person Specification

You will be dynamic and proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid surgical and medical skills. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, we offer unlimited CPD allowance and, for the right candidate, the opportunity to study for a certificate.
