Have you spent the last few years honing an interest in a specialist area?

Are you ready to settle down into your dream job?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced equine veterinary surgeon to join an established, well-respected and independent 9 vet practice situated in the Essex countryside, close to London.

Blaircourt Equine Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic vet to join our dynamic and sociable team on a permanent and long-term basis. We offer a supportive and friendly environment in which you will be given the opportunity to establish yourself as a key team member.

We service a wide range of clients – from leisure horse owners to international competition yards – therefore you will be assured of a diverse and interesting case load where continuity is highly regarded
and encouraged.

Our main clinic as well as branch practice will provide you with a full range of equipment (digital x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy and gastroscopy, laser therapy/surgery, arthroscopy, gait analysis, specialised endodontic procedures etc.), including surgical facilities, examination rooms, stables and isolation facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferably 5 years or more though), come with a specialised interest and be eager to develop their own client base. Comprehensive CPD including studying for a certificate will be strongly encouraged alongside an attractive remuneration package.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with 1 week night and 1:5 weekends on call, (1 day in lieu following a weekend on call).

You will receive a great benefits package to include:

  •  Competitive salary (based on experience)
  •  Company vehicle, mobile phone & iPad
  •  Pension
  •  RCVS, BEVA & VDS membership fees
  •  CPD allowance
  •  21 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be a team player
