We are looking for a dedicated small animal orthopaedic surgeon to join our experienced team.

This is an opportunity to work in a well-equipped, multidisciplinary referral hospital, with a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive working environment.

Our caseload is interesting and varied, ranging from the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of lameness, through to the management of complex fractures, limb deformities and total joint replacement. Support with case management is available from within the team and from other services in the Department. Personal development is encouraged and supported.

The role primarily involves the provision of clinical services within the hospital, alongside teaching and supervision of Senior Clinical Training Scholars, Junior Clinical Training Scholars and final year students. There is also an opportunity to participate in bench and clinical research projects supported by dedicated research staff within the Surgical Discovery Centre (www.surgicaldiscovery.com)

Applicants should have attained or be eligible to sit the examination for the Diploma of the European or American College of Veterinary Surgery, and have a veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

We offer a supportive and engaging environment with generous paid annual leave (33 days for full time employees, plus public holidays). In addition we are able to provide competitive staff benefits and services, including family friendly policies, numerous discounts on shopping, health care, financial services, and public transport. We also offer defined benefits pension schemes and tax-efficient bicycle, car lease and charity-giving schemes. If required, time off clinics for exam preparation can be accommodated.
