The University of Glasgow, School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to recruit a Senior Clinician/Clinician in Small Animal Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Small Animal Medicine or equivalent qualification, but a residency-trained colleague will also be considered.

You will join our team of specialist medicine clinicians in providing a high standard medical referral service within the Small Animal Hospital. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will interact and collaborate with a wide range of people. The role will involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents. You also have the opportunity to undertake clinical scholarship, to contribute to the School objectives of national and international excellence in clinical service and teaching.

You will be based at the Small Animal Hospital, located at the Garscube Estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow, and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. You will be joining a friendly and dynamic team of approximately 30 clinicians, 28 residents/interns, 40
nursing associated staff, and 11 management / administrative staff, supporting over 10 clinical specialties. In addition, there is a busy first opinion out of hour’s service supported by 4 clinicians and 14 nursing
associated staff.

Applications are invited from candidates with a RCVS registrable degree, who have completed an ECVIM or ACVIM approved residency or hold an ECVIM or ACVIM postgraduate diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

The University has an excellent pension scheme, and a generous supplement is paid for out of hour’s work.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held in January 2021.
