Mixed Vet Required

Independent, RCVS accredited, 8 vet mixed practice requires veterinary surgeon to do 50% farm animal and equine, 50% small animal in the heart of mid-Wales. Both experienced and new graduates considered.

Farm animal work is mostly beef suckler and sheep farms with progressive farming clients. OV TB qualification is essential. TB testing is equally shared out.

We moved to a new premise in 2013 so modern facilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound scanners (small and farm), and in practice lab, handhelds for TB testing and farm animal fertility testing. Due to practice growth we are in the process of adding an extension.

Our friendly and very supportive practice team, includes 8 vets, veterinary nurses and support staff.

We aim to provide high quality treatment for all our patients small and large.

4.5 day working week, out of hours work rota is 1/5 weeknights,
and 1/5 weekends, with good back up from the senior partner. Part time/job share vet also considered. 28 days paid holiday.

Generous CPD package, to encourage and support CPD, which includes BVA membership. There is scope to specialise in a field of interest.
Salary commensurate with experience, pension and practice car available.
