We are seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Aberdare, South Wales. 

This is a small, friendly and very busy clinic working alongside an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse and Patient Care Assistant, soon to be SVN. 

Medivet Aberdare has a lovely and loyal client base, who are bonded to the practice. It has a fantastic community feel with many clients able to walk to the practice for their appointments. 

We are seeking someone with a minimum of 2 years experience and happy with sole charge to oversee the smooth running of the clinic, developing client relationships and supporting the team.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to drive the clinic forward! It could be suited to someone who loves general practice or someone eager to bring different specialities to the area. 

This role works to a 4-day week, 08:30 - 18:30 with 1:4 Saturdays, 08:30 - 14:00 at our Merthyr Tydfil practice.

There is currently no on-call in the region, as all out of hours is managed externally. 

This role offers a package between £40k-£60k depending on experience which includes £4200 housing allowance, vehicle or £2500 allowance, £1500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
